Vocational Guidance guides the students according to the needs of the students in the field of jobs. This type of guidance is based on the self-exploration of the individual. It helps the students choose the right career for the future. After getting vocational advice, the students will know what they should do in life, which department is suitable for their teaching, and how they will choose their career through their education at what level. Vocation comes from the Latin word ‘Vocare’, which means ‘to call’. So, vocational guidance means helping the students discover their calling, i.e. their adoption of vocation. Vocational guidance gives the students scope as per their choices. It solves the vocational problems among the students. It is a process that intends to guide the students in coping with issues related to vocational decisions, plans, and adjustments with due regard for individual needs and their relationship to different opportunities. It helps the person find out their resources at an optimum level. Vocational guidance assists persons in evaluating themselves, their capacity, and the skills required for the vocation. It also develops the scope of entrepreneurship among the students, providing various information which brings confidence to their lives. Vocational guidance guides the students to explore different areas of vocation. Vocational guidance lessens the unemployment generations. It brings individuals at par with the demands of the jobs. It makes individuals familiar with the world of work and its diverse requirements. As an exploratory process, vocational education allows students to research different career possibilities. This type of guidance is provided in different institutions through which the students gain job-oriented knowledge and skills.
