Teaching is a process that facilitates learning.it is the application of knowledge ,skills, attitudes to provide a services to fulfill the educational needs of students.Generally ,teaching takes place in a well organized classroom where the teacher does with his students for focusing to learn something.direct interaction between teacher and studentcomes.Teaching is what a There are many principles of teaching ,the most important one among them is- “Principle of Flexibility and Elasticity in teaching”. Principle of Flexibility and elasticity in teaching means theability to adjust and developed instructional methods,materialsand proceed towards to meet the needs of learners.Principle of Flexibility And Elasticity indicates that teaching strategy must be flexible .It needs to be changed according to the needs of learners .Adaptability ,creativity and resourceful are the Qualities of teachers so they can adapt strategies according to the needs of classroom environment. Strategies for flexibility in teaching :- • Recognizing and valuing individual student needs- A teacher must take time to get to know students on a personal level.understanding their challenges ,interests.This knowledge will help a teacher to meet needs effectively. • Modifying teaching methods and materials accordingly- After evaluating students needs modify teaching methods and materials to accommodate their multiple learning styles .for ex-virtual arts, technological tools etc. • Allowing for students and autonomy- Providing opportunities for students to make choices in their learning.This gives a freedom to a student to select a topic for a project or giving them.Options for how they demonstrate their understanding.Givingautonomy,it empower them to take ownership of their learning . • Integrating students interests and preferences- integreating students interests and preferences into lessons.whenever it needs to comes.This can possible by using some examples on the basis of hobbies and passions into the classroom.To increase motivation teacher should increase engagement of students. • Providing varied levels of support and challenge- By offering different levels of support and challengesto meet the particular needs of students .Provide additional resources for struggling students while offering extentionactivites and opportunites for deeper exploration to advanced learners . Flexibility is essential quality for teachers to possess.it enhances student learning by allowing educators to meet the diverse needs of students and create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. PRINCIPLES OF ELASTICITY:- The principle of elasticity in education refers to the ability of educational systems and practices to adapt to changes in demand, resources, and learner needs. It emphasizes flexibility and responsiveness in various aspects, such as:- 1. Responsiveness to Demand: Educational programs should be flexible enough to adjust to the changing interests and needs of students and the job market. For instance, introducing new courses based on emerging industries. 2. Resource Allocation: Efficient use of resources (like funding, facilities, and staff) is crucial. Schools should be able to redistribute resources in response to varying student enrollment or program effectiveness. 3. Curriculum Flexibility: A curriculum that allows for modifications and personalization can better meet diverse student needs. This includes offering electives, project-based learning, and online options. 4. Assessment Adaptability: Assessments should evolve to reflect different learning styles and competencies, moving beyond standardized tests to more holistic evaluations. 5.
